This practical course shows students several biological practical exercises which they can later use while teaching at grammar school or at high school both in present or online. It is designed for pre-service biology teachers but is open for anybody who wants to experience hands-on activities. Students have to prepare, demonstrate, and explain their own biological practical course / hands-on activity (in present or online) to gain experience and to pass the course. This course will be
opened for at least 5 students.

Tento předmět představuje studentům několik biologických praktických cvičení, která mohou použít
při výuce přírodopisu a biologie a to jak prezenčně, tak online. Je určen budoucím učitelům biologie. Studenti je musí připravit, demonstrovat a vysvětlit
vlastní praktické cvičení z biologie (prezenční či online).
Výuka probíhá v angličtině pro nejméně 5 studentů.

Requirements to the exam -

Active presence on the practical courses. You can miss one topic without a problem. More only after agreenment of the teacher. Presenting and explaining one proposal of a practical biology course on high school level of knowledge.
In the case of online teaching, it will be required to prepare the submitted practical tasks for each exercise and submit (photos, etc.) results (Google Classroom).Students must be present at online conferences (Google Meet) (one permitted absence, or more only by prior arrangement).

Aktivní účast (jedna povolená absence, případně více pouze po předchozí domluvě). Příprava a odučení jednoho praktického cvičení z přírodopisu/biologie včetně odevzdání příprav a potřebných materiálů k výuce v elektronické podobě.
V případě on-line výuky bude požadováno vypracování zaslaných praktických úkolů ke každému cvičení a odevzdání (nafocení apod.) výsledků (Google Classroom). Na online konferencích (Google Meet) musí být studneti přítomni (jedna povolená absence, případně více pouze po předchozí domluvě).

Topics will include for example: Human senses, Botanical inquiry, Cockroach dissection, Observation of trematode cercarias, Earthworm dissection - observation of spermatogenesis and parasitic gregarines, Osmosis, online Experiments with Vernier, creating models of biological processes and objects. Students' microteaching will be performed online in the last lesson.
