The course demonstrates basic techniques used for preparation of protist parasites for biochemical experiments. It demonstrates cell homogenization and fractionation using differential and isopycnic gradient centrifugation, spectrophotometric determinations of enzyme activities and liquid chromatography methods of protein purification.
