The course formally covers internships organized as a practical part of the curriculum of the programme IMESS.
Aim of the course

The aim of the course is to provide IMESS students with an opportunity to work for public as well as private institutions and organizations and to get some practical experience useful for later employment.

Study obligations:

1. Internship should be approved by tutor of IMESS, without this approval internship will not be recognized as a valid course!!!
a) request should include name and website of organization
b) short description of the content of work students will do
c) formal approval of the internship by the representative of the organization
d) internship must be carried out only during the 2nd year in Prague

2. Internship should take not less than 100 hours

3. After finishing the internship student should submit to the tutor:
a) certificate (or other formal document) issued by the internship offering organization; certificate:
- confirms period and number of hours spent at the internship offering organization
- brings basic description of student´s position
- includes brief assessment of student´s performance
- certificate must be signed and dated!

b) student´s report (1 500 words) containing:
- description of the internship offering orgnization
- description of student´s position and workload
- to what extent students´s work responded to the profile of internship offering organization
- to what extent student´s work responded to the internship arrangement
- to what extent student´s position and activities corresponded to the IMESS programme content
- to what extent student´s position and work contributed to her/his academic/professional development
- to what extent student´s internship helped/contributed to internship offering organization (personal view)
- what the internship institution should do better when organizing internships
- if (why) the intership offering organization could be recommended to other (IMESS/all) students
