The teaching of Pharmaceutical Botany II is focused on the pharmaceutically important taxa of fungi, lower plants (Cyanophyta, Algae, Lichens, Bryophyta), Pteridophytic plants, Gymnosperms and Angiosperms. Students are acquainted with the systematic classification of these plants, their brief description, content and importance in the current pharmacy. The course emphasizes the characteristic features and elements of knowledge of these plants, which will help the students to orient themselves when necessary when consulting. In the taxa list, attention is paid to Asian plants, which have become increasingly important in the European and Czech Pharmacopoeia. nižších rostlin (sinice, řasy, mechorosty, lišejníky) a vyšších rostlin (nahosemenné, krytosemenné rostliny)

The credit in the summer semester consists of 3 parts:

a) satisfactory two continuous tests from "List of the important plant species and their main metabolites 2021/2022"(2x 25 plants),

b) satisfactory test from practical classes,

c) 100% attendance at practical classes.

The exam consists of two parts:

1) Practical part:

knowledge of 15 living medicinal plants in the glasses which were selected from the "List of Medicinal Plants for Practical Testing of Pharmaceutical Botany"

2) Theoretical part:

Written form; the test contains 43 questions in part of the quiz character (1 is correct), partly the descriptive character (1-3 words), together with a table containing 20 medicinal plants where students must fill in their family names and main metabolites.
