1. Students gain basic overview in medical terminology structure - from grammar, word-formation and vocabulary points of view.
2. Students gain practical skills to translate anatomical terms and clinical-pathological diagnoses from/to Latin.
3. Students will be able to understand authentic medical reports and prescriptions.
4. Students wil be able to understand simple clinical-pathological diagnoses and anatomical terms.

Credit requirements:
1. Presence: only 1 absent practicals are allowed; in case of higher number of missed practicals, students will not obtain a credit. A reason of missing class must be confirmed by a relevant document.
2. A successful completion of intermediate tests: 1st intermediate test: revision of the topics for the winter semester; 2nd intermediate test: clinical-pathological Greek vocabulary; 3rd intermediate test: anatomical nomenclature (test examining knowledge of the principles of anatomical nomenclature); 4th intermediate test: word formation with a focus on terminology from biochemistry. Retakes of intermediate tests always take place before the next practicals, the other dates will be together with the credit test retakes.
3. Successful completion of the credit test
There are 3 attempts to pass the credit test: the first is during the ninth practicals and is mandatory for all students. If students miss a credit date without a proper excuse, they lose one term. Second term: several terms will be announced in the summer exam period; each student chooses one term that suits them. If he doesn't, he loses the second term. After the student chooses the date, he logs in via SIS; his participation thus becomes obligatory and any unexcused absence equals the loss of the date. If necessary, it is possible to unsubscribe and choose another date in the summer exam period. The third term will be at the beginning of September; it will be the deadline. By this date, any absences must be documented and all intermidiate tests for both semesters must be passed. The third deadline for taking the credit test for winter semester will be announced at the end of April and the beginning of September; the student may choose only one of these terms

Final Exam Requirements:
The student has the right to a regular exam date and two retakes. The exam has a terminological and grammatical part. Vocabulary from the Latin Medical Terminology textbook is required for the exam. In both parts of the exam, you must achieve at least a grade "good". It is forbidden to use any electronic devices (mobile phone, laptop, notebook, watch, headphones, etc.) during any form of face-to-face knowledge verification. If a student is caught violating this rule, he/she will be graded "failed". A student caught copying or communicating with another student during preparation will also be classified as "failed".

Požadavky k zápočtu:
1. Účast: je povolena pouze jedna absence; v případě většího počtu absencí student nezíská zápočet. Další absence musejí být doloženy příslušným potvrzením.
2. Úspěšné absolvování průběžných testů: 1. průběžný test: opakování látky za zimní semestr; 2. průběžný test: klinicko-patologické řecké slovní základy; 3. průběžný test: anatomická nomenklatura (test prověřující znalost principů anatomické nomenklatury); 4. průběžný test: slovotvorba se zaměřením na terminologii z biochemie. Oprava průběžných testů se koná vždy před následujícím praktickým cvičením, další termíny budou až společně s opravnými zápočtovými testy.
3. Úspěšné absolvování zápočtového testu
Na složení zápočtového testu jsou 3 pokusy: první je při devátém praktickém cvičení a je povinný pro všechny studenty. Pokud se student/ka nedostaví bez řádné omluvy, ztrácí jeden termín. Druhý termín: v letním zkouškovém období bude vypsáno několik termínů; každý student si vybere jeden termín, který mu vyhovuje. Pokud tak neučiní, ztrácí druhý termín. Po té, co si student termín vybere, přihlásí se přes SIS; jeho účast se tím stává závaznou a případná neomluvená neúčast se rovná ztrátě termínu. V případě potřeby je možno se odhlásit a vybrat si jiný termín v letním zkouškovém období.
Třetí termín bude začátkem září; bude to termín konečný. K tomuto dni je nutno doložit případné absence a složit veškeré průběžné testy za oba semestry.
Třetí termín pro skládání zápočtového testu za ZS bude vypsán na konec dubna a začátek září; student si smí vybrat pouze jeden z těchto termínů.
4. Zpracování úloh na moodlu
Zkouška:
Student má právo na řádný termín zkoušky a dva termíny opravné. Zkouška má část terminologickou a gramatickou. Ke zkoušce je požadována slovní zásoba z učebnice Latinská lékařská terminologie. V obou částech zkoušky nutno dosáhnout alespoň známky "dobře".
Při jakémkoliv způsobu prezenčního ověřování znalostí je zakázáno používat jakékoliv elektronické přístroje (mobilní telefon, laptop, notebook, hodinky, sluchátka apod.). Bude-li student přistižen při porušení tohoto pravidla, bude ohodnocen „nedostatečně“. „Nedostatečně“ bude klasifikován také student přistižený při opisování nebo komunikaci s jiným studentem při přípravě.
