The aim of practice before state examination in Preventive Medicine is to teach students the basic methodological skills in the field of Health protection and Health promotion. Students are required to either: 1. Prepare a written work (thesis) on a chosen topic or on a topic recommended by the Institute of Preventive Medicine. Students usually write a literature review on primary and secondary prevention of diseases with the highest prevalence in their countries, including related prevention programs and their own opinions on their effectiveness. or 2. Complete a 14-day internship in organizations/institutions whose activities are focused on the issue of primary and secondary prevention (generally Public Health). Students choose these devices themselves and their choice is subject to the approval of the guarantor of the state exam in Preventive Medicine in English (Prof. Fiala). A confirmation from the organization/institution and a report on practice prepared by the student are required for the state exam. The defense of a written thesis or a report on practice are part of the state exam.

Students are required to either:

1. Prepare a written work (thesis) on a chosen topic or on a topic recommended by the Institute of Preventive Medicine. Students usually write a literature review on primary and secondary prevention of diseases with the highest prevalence in their countries, including related prevention programs and their own opinions on their effectiveness.
or
2. Complete a 14-day internship in organizations/institutions whose activities are focused on the issue of primary and secondary prevention (generally Public Health).
