The subject is concieved as theoretical and practical, describes the system of nursing care in the Czech republic (process, diagnosis, interventions), the patient needs and holistic approaches to health care. Part of the seminar is also training practical nursing skills on models.

Learning goals of the subject:

  1. Students acquire the theoretical knowledge necessary to perform basic and specialized nursing procedures.
  2. Students are able to perform nursing procedures correctly.
  3. Students are able to maintain aseptic approaches during nursing procedures.
  4. Students learn the principles of an individualized and holistic approach to patients during simulated situations.

Credit:

  • 100 % attendance at practical classes,
  • 4 hours of excursion at University Hospital Hradec Kralove
  • 4 hours of practical training in patient care on models in the model classroom - presentation of all professional skills during this training

Written verification of theoretical knowledge – exam test in Moodle
