Results:

  1. Student will obtain theoretical knowledges about basic problem with working procedures for fabrication of complete dentures.
  2. Student will obtain theoretical knowledges about rebasing and relining of complete denture, their repairs, new methods and materials.

Credit

Credit test has to be done (including theoretical knowledges from subjects Prosthodontics I, II, III) at least with 80 % (max. 2 re-take credit tests).

 

Examination

The student, who obtained the credit, can register to the oral exam.

Lectures

Lectures make more sensitive information in the literature. They reflect contemporary trends in Prosthodontics.

  1. Anatomy of the edentulous denture bearing area.Examination of an edentulous patient.Overview of the office and laboratory procedures for fabrication of complete dentures. Preprosthodontic surgery in edentulous patients. (Heneberk 3)
  2. The analysis of the office and laboratory working procedures for fabrication of complete dentures. (Heneberk 3)
  3. Rebasing and relining of complete dentures. Immediate working procedures. (Heneberk 2)
  4. Repairs of complete dentures. Materials for dentures. (Heneberk 2)
  5. Biomechanical and technological reasons for malfunction of complete dentures, prevention and solution. Fundamental principles of complete dentures for seniors. (Heneberk 2)
  6. Free topic. New methods, technologies, materials. (Heneberk 3)

  2. Custom trays, final impressions techniques.
  3. Practical procedures for recording of jaws´ relationship.
  4. Try-in the wax model of CD, selecting of artificial teeth, functional and esthetic rules.
  5. Delivering finished CD to the patient. Fundamentals of recall in CD, home care and hygiene.
  6. Repairs and adjustments of CD, relining and rebasing.
