Aim of the course

After finishing of this subjects, the students are able to:

  1. Carry out a preventive check up of the teeth and oral cavity.
  2. Examine the patient with an acute condition and make a diagnosis.
  3. Perform and analyze X-ray images.
  4. Perform simple dental procedures (removal of supragingival dental calculus, oral hygiene instruction).
  5. Perform basic dental treatment (treatment of dental caries of a small scale, simple tooth extractions, periodontal treatment, basic prosthetic procedures).
  6. Perform more demanding dental treatment (treatment of dental caries of a larger scale and near the pulp cavity, endodontic treatment, tooth extraction, prosthetic work supported by implants, treatment of handicapped patients).

Credit

Credit will be given to the students who will

  1. attend all practical classes,
  2. prove satisfied knowledge during practical classes,
  3. acquire at least 80 points during restorative office practicals,
  4. extract 3 teeth,
  5. attend at least 90 % of the seminar,
  6. attend the CPR seminar.
