Prerequisities for the subject Prosthodontics II are all mandatory subjects of the second year of studies and subjects Clinical Dentistry I and Clinical Dentistry II.

Aim of the course

After finishing of this subjects, students are able to:

  1. Examinate the patient and suggest the design of future removable partial denture (RPD).
  2. Choose optimal components of RPD considering dentition of the patient.
  3. Fabricate (working procedure) RPD including the prepration of remaining teeth .

Credit

Student must be present at all practical classes. At least 80 % of all points from the written credit test (max. two retake tests possible).

  1. Treatment planning of removable partial dentures (RPD). (Vavrickova 3)
  2. Components of RPD. Claps design and criteria. Attachments systems. (Vavrickova 3)
  3. Working procedures of RPD. Repairs and relining. (Vavrickova 3)
  4. Non-clasps RPD and overdentures. Ready made teeth for removable dentures. (Vavrickova 3)
