Předmět poskytuje základní znalosti z anglické odborné terminologie. Klade důraz na získání aktivních i pasivních jazykových znalostí a dovedností. Zvládnutí odborné slovní zásoby je předpokladem pro komunikaci na mezinárodní úrovni, pro výměnné stáže studentů, pro studium odborné literatury a uplatnění na trhu práce v zahraničí.
