Principles of interpretation, the role of clinical biochemistry in the diagnosis and monitoring of renal function, cardiovascular risk, cardiac diseases, selected metabolic disorders, evaluation of biomarkers (including inflammation and sepsis).
Aim of the course -
Last update: prof. MUDr. Antonín Jabor, CSc. (27.09.2022)

To understand basic principles of laboratory medicine as an integral part of clinical care. To grasp the relationship between clinical chemistry and pathophysiology. To be able to understand the results of the measurement as a probability characteristics with respect to the clinical sitation. To be able to use a rational approach to the selection of diagnostic tests.
