The subject is an introduction into the field of providing health and supportive care to homeless people. Students will learn about the issues of homelessness in Czech republic and the possibilities of providing support to the homeless in the community.

1. Problem of hemelessness int he social and healtcare context
2. Organization of care of the homeless in Czech Republic
3. The most common health problems of the homeless. The view of the primary care physician, dermatologist, adictologist, infectious diseases specialist
4. Personality of the health care worker/volunteer, prevence of burn-out syndrom
5. Basic health assessment, evaluation of vital signs
6. Wound care
7. Practice in community
