The course participants will deepen their knowledge of basic psychopathology and symptoms of mental disorders with the use of examples from the world cinematography. Individual extracts will also illustrate typical stereotypes in the portrayal of mentally ill in the popular culture. Discussions will follow the presentations. In order to obtain a credit, a minimum attendance plus a completion of a seminary paper on the topic of mental illness in arts are required.

Účastníci kurzu si prohloubí znalosti základní psychopatologie a příznaků duševních poruch za pomocí příkladů ze světové kinematografie. Ukázky budou také ilustrovat typické stereotypy ve zobrazení duševně nemocných v populární kultuře. Po každé prezentaci bude následovat diskuse. K získání zápočtu je vyžadovaná minimální účast a seminární práce na téma duševní nemoc v umění.
