Principles of radiological semeiology in diseases of inteernal medicine. Place and value of radiology in diagnostic and therapeutical algorhytms of these diaseases. Interdisciplinary aspects in evaluation of radiological images. The students are in seminars acquainted with indications for imaging methods and their interpretations in the area of osteologic diagnostics and osseous densitometry, in radiodiagnostics of thoracic and abdominal organs, uropoetic apparatus and emergency states in internal medicine and surgery. Nuclear medicine deals mainly with clinical interpretation of frequently used methods - perfusion of myocardium, lungs and brain, bone scans and scintigraphy in nephrourology and oncology - in particular patients in the form of discussion.
Aim of the course -
Last update: MUDr. Otto Lang, Ph.D. (06.10.2008)

Good praxis in indications of radiological methods in diagnostics and differential diagnostics of internal diseases. Correct interpretation of basic imaging findings in internal medicine. Plase of interventional radiology in therapeutic strategy of some internal diseases.

In nuclear medicine, the main goal is to practise knowledge from previous studies and to learn clinical interpretation of findings in particular patients.
