The subject is taught in the 2nd year of the general nursing programme. It is a part of the Humanities module. The aim is to teach the students the rules and methodology of research work in healthcare environment, to help them plan and carry out an empirical study, analyse the data.

The goal of the subject is to provide students with elementary foundations of scientific research, on preconditions of quantitative and qualitative methodology as used in healthcare and on specific aspects of nursing research.
