One of the courses of module 1D - the 1st year. The cours aims to help the students enter the healthcare practice. It addresses patient needs during hospitalization - physical, psychological, social and spiritual.

Needs of Patients

The aim of the course is to allow medical students to learn about needs of patinets during the course of hospitalization. Studens will meet patients to practice communication skills, assess patients´needs, define main problems and develop a plan of care for them. Students will observe interdisciplinary approach to patients´care in the Cetral Military Hospital in Prague 6. From the perspective of moral development the course aims to teach understanding and tolerance to different attitudes and values of people with different cultural backround.

A model interview with a patient.
