The course focuses on specific vocabulary and grammar that should enable students using and understanding medical resources as well as taking patients medical history efficiently enough.

Objective

Primary objective is to master the skills of taking medical history in English speaking patients.

In addition, at the end of the course the students will be able to understand English written medical texts without much difficulties.

Summer semester credit requirements:


Summer semester credit will be based on assessments of: Grammar, Listening, Reading, Speaking and a PowerPoint Presentation.

Assessments may vary according to the core English competencies of each group.


Exam requirements:
The exam comprises 4 parts, each is scored according to the following pattern:
Grammar test - 20 pt. Testing format may vary.
Reading test - 20 pt.
Vocabulary - 20 pt. Testing format may vary.
Interview - 40 pt.


90-100 = 1 (excellent)

80-89 = 2 (very good)

70-79 = 3 (good)
