Definition and explanation of individual steps in health risk assessment approach: Hazard identification, dose-response relationship, exposure assessment, risk characterization. Extrapolation results from in vitro to in vivo, from experimental animals to human, and from high dosed to low doses. Some case studies are used as exemples of risk assessment/risk management method in praxis.

Paradigma of health risk assessment approach; sources of data, importance and method of exposure assessment, human biomonitoring, epodemiologic studies, risk assessment of individual environmental factors (chemical, physical, biological), examples of model situations (neurotoxicity, reproductive disorders), risk analysis as a process of food safety. Risk communication, environmental epidemiology.
