Aim of the course

To understand the role of nonspecific immunity (phagocytosing granulocytes, complement) and adaptive immunity (lymphocytes and their products) in different phases of immune responses - systemic inflammatory serponse and immunoparalysis. To get an impression of possible therapeutic interventions.
