The course covers 15 topics. The pharmacology department is responsible for two days of the course, the rest of the topics is covered by Prague Psychiatric Center. Mental disorders are taught according to the international classification ICD-10 (Classificiation of Mental and Behavioural Disorders). Although the cornerstone of the course is pathophysiology, the clinical division of topics is necessary for better understanding of the whole concept of mental disorders. After the introductory topic on psychopathology 11 diagnostic topics are covered in detail: affective disorders, psychotic disorders, organic disorders, anxiety, somatophorm and dissociative disorders, personality disorders, substance-related disorders, child psychiatry, eating disorders, sexual and gender identity disorders, sleep disorders. The last day of the course is designed to collect feedback from the students and to overview their knowledge in the form of the written test. Each day begins with theoretical aspects (pathophysiology, etiology, epidemiology), practical training follows. During the practical training clinical case reports are demonstrated and active participation of the students based on their propedeutics knowledge is expected.

Rozdělení témat podle klinických kategorií je přehledné a umožní rychlou orientaci studentů v problematice: psychopatologie, afektivní poruchy, organické poruchy, psychotické poruchy, neurotické poruchy, poruchy vyvolané stresem a somatoformní poruchy, behaviorální syndromy spojené s fyziologickými porucha a somatickými faktory (poruchy příjmu potravy, poruchy spánku, poruchy v šestinedělí), osobnostní poruchy, poruchy vyvolané účinkem psychoaktivních látek a poruchy chování a emocí se začátkem obvykle v dětství a v adolescenci.
