COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course focuses on learning vocabulary and phrases necessary for basic patient-nurse communication as well as understanding the gist of simple medical and nursing texts.

Taking basic information about patients

Phrases associated with basic patients' needs

Human body - organs and tissues

Most common signs and symptoms of diseases associated with the following systems:

cardiovascular, respiratory, urinary, gastrointestinal, reproductive, nervous, locomotor, and endocrine.

Infectious diseases

Medical instruments and equipment
