Elective subject taught in the 3rd year of the baccalaureate programme of nursing. It provides students with deeper knowledge of the principals and practice of patient education.

Aim of the course -

The student will be able to:

define the main terms

orient self in the current legislation related to education

learn the factors influencing education

perform patient interview focused at evalution of the patient's level of knowledge, skills, and educational needs

use didactic instruments and forms of education

learn the requirements for documentation of patient teaching

plan and carry out educational programme in the field of primary, secondarya nd terciary prevention
