The primary objective of rehabilitation is to restore the patient's physical and / or psychological abilities after an acute or chronic illness and to reintegrate them into social and working life. Rehabilitation is an interdisciplinary process that often requires the collaboration of physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, speech therapists and other professionals. In addition to medical and therapeutic care, there is, for example, education, prescription of aids, training of self-sufficiency in activities of daily life, assistance in reintegration into the work process. The course of rehabilitation is a complex individual process that aims to achieve the highest quality of life and self-sufficiency and is part of practically all clinical medical disciplines, which implies the need for knowledge of at least basic rehabilitation indications and methodologies.
