Compulsory optional course designated for the 3rd and 4th year of medical study. It presents biochemistry and immunochemistry of monoclonal antibodies, methodology of hybridoma construction, diagnostic and therapeutic use of monoclonal antibodies and cytokines in immunology, hematology and in the treatment of cancer and autoimmune disorders. It includes also practical demonstration of immunofluorescence and tissue cultures.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Mgr. Alena Vlasáková, DiS. (24.11.2008)

The aim is to present the current survey of the development, diagnostic use and therapy based on monoclonal antibodies with an impact on the treatment of malignant hematologic and immune system disorders.

Literature - Czech
Last update: Mgr. Alena Vlasáková, DiS. (24.11.2008)

Literatura k tématu monoklonálních protilátek je stále obnovována dle aktuálního stavu experimentálních a klinických studií. K tématu terapeutických cytokinů doporučuji stále aktuální brožuru v češtině profesora P. Klenera: Cytokiny ve vnitřním lékařství. Grada 1997, str. 1-260.

Teaching methods - Czech
Last update: Mgr. Alena Vlasáková, DiS. (24.11.2008)

Výuka probíhá formou kurzu s praktickou denmonstrací kultivačních technik a imunofluorescenční mikroskopie hybridomů a buněčných linií.
