An edducation of clinical genetics in the 5th year consist of three seminars and the visit of the Department of Clinical Genetics. Seminars are focused on primary and secondary prevention of genetic diseases, prenatal diagnosis, the most frequent monogenic and polygennic disorders, teratogenic effect on the embryonal development etc. Visit on the Department of Clinical Genetics demonstrate the work in genetic counselling center, conjunction of genetics with other medical specialities, work in cytogenetic and molecular genetic laboratories. Problems of clinical genetics are the part of state examination of pediatrics.

Výuka klinické genetiky v 5.ročníku se skládá ze tří seminářů a stáže na oddělení lékařské genetiky. Semináře jsou zaměřeny na primární a sekundární prevenci genetických chorob, možnosti prenatální diagnostiky, dále na nejčastější, zvl. polygenní genetická onemocnění, vliv teratogenů na vývoj plodu aj. Stáže studentům přibližují práci v genetické ambulanci, propojení s dalšími medicínskými obory, práci cytogenetické a molekulárně genetické laboratoře. Otázky z lékařské genetiky jsou součástí státní zkoušky z pediatrie.

The lessons from clinical genetics - course "Genetically determined diseases" in the 5th year of study run as a part of the Pediatry module. They are consequential with the genetic lessons in the 1st year within the module IB and in the 3rd year in module IIA "Theoretical basics of clinical medicine".
The aim is consequently bring new informations about diagnostic possibilities of hereditary diseases, provide students with the necessary knowledge in the field of clinical genetics and due to give them the ability to indicate a genetic consultation and methods no matter their specialities.

V 5. ročníku probíhá výuka lékařské genetiky v rámci modulu Dětské lékařství v kurzu "Klinická genetika". Navazuje na výuku genetiky v prvním ročníku v rámci modulu IB a ve 3. ročníku v modulu IIA Teoretické základy klinické medicíny kurz "Geneticky podmíněné poruchy".
Cílem je průběžně přinášet nové informace o možnostech diagnostiky dědičných chorob, které genetika vnáší do všech medicínských oborů a zajistit úroveň znalostí studentů v oboru lékařská genetika tak, aby byli schopni indikovat genetické vyšetření bez ohledu na to, v jakém oboru budou pracovat.
