The summary and scope of knowledge enables the graduates of internships a common orientation in the issue of ENT diseases, in their recognition, differential diagnosis and treatment, introduces possible complications of these diseases and their treatment. It provides an idea of the position of otorhinolaryngology and its connection to other fields of medicine.

Diagnosis and treatment of E.N.T. diseases.

Examination methods, endoscopic methods, vestibulology, audiology.

Surgical oncology, microsurgery of the ear, functional endoscopic sinus surgery.

Reconstructive methods in oncological head and neck surgery.

First aid in life threatening situations with emphasis on upper aerodigestive tract.

The care of patients with serious E.N.T. conditions.

Phoniatrics - restitutions of voice, rehabilitative audiology, hearing aids; disorders of speech-language.

Podrobněji se výuka zabývá:

diagnostikou a léčbou zhoubných nádorů,

endoskopií,

traumatologií a vestibulologií,

rentgenologií, audiologií a chirurgií baze lební.

Studenti jsou dále seznamováni s principy chirurgických postupů:

mikrochirurgie ucha,

chirurgie nosu a vedlejších dutin nosních,

plastická a rekonstrukční chirurgie a postupy při léčbě zhoubných nádorů.

Výuka základních vyšetřovacích metod seznamuje s praktickými postupy v otolaryngologii. Osvojení dovedností při morfologickém a funkčním vyšetření hlavy a krku rozšiřuje schopnosti lékaře při praktickém vyšetřování pacienta s možností využití těchto metod i v jiných oborech. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována schopnosti poskytnout první pomoc při život ohrožujících situacích se zaměřením na cesty dýchací a polykací a znalostí základní péče o pacienty se závažnými otolaryngologickými onemocněními. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována kapitolám souvisejícím se stomatologií a dále na schopnosti poskytnout první pomoc při život ohrožujících situacích u pacientů se závažnými otolaryngologickými onemocněními.
