The subject provides for students possibility to learn diagnostics and treatment of congenital and acquired defects, injuries and tumours of musculoskeletal system. The students will have practical activities of orthopaedic propaedeutic, diagnostics and treatment of degenerative diseases (limb joints and axial skeleton), basics of diagnostics and treatment of tumours of musculoskeletal system and basics of rheumatoid surgery. Part of the courses is diagnostics and treatment of injuries, congenital and acquired deformities and disorders of musculoskeletal system of children.

First week

Ward - ORT 3 - traumatology. Consulting interesting cases on the ward. Introduction into orthopedics and clinical investigation. Introduction into traumatology, upper extremity.

Ward - ORT 1 - children orthopedics. Consulting interesting cases on the ward. Children orthopedics. Children orthopedics, children traumatology.

Ward - ORT 5 - endoprosthetics. Consulting interesting cases on the ward. Benign bone tumors. Malignant bone tumors.

Ward - ORT 6 + ORT 4 - oncology + sport traumatology. Consulting interesting cases on the ward. Knee endoprosthetics, tendon injuries. Hip endoprosthetics.

Ward - ORT 2 - septic diseases and spinal disorders. Consulting interesting cases on the ward. Spinal disorders. Spinal trauma.

Second week

Ward - ORT 3 - Traumatology. Consulting interesting cases on the ward. Infections of bones and joints. Deformities.

Ward - ORT 1 - children orthopedics. Consulting interesting cases on the ward. Children fractures. Shoulder trauma (soft tissue and bone), enthesopaties.

Ward - ORT 5 - endoprosthetics. Consulting interesting cases on the ward. Knee trauma (soft tissue). Infectious complications in orthopedics.

Ward - ORT 6 + ORT 4 - oncology + sport traumatology. Consulting interesting cases on the ward. Complications in endoprosthetics, rheumatoid arthritis. Traumatology - lower extremity.

Ward - ORT 2 - septic diseases and spinal disorders. Consulting interesting cases on the ward. Foot disorders. Bone dysplasia, metabolic diseases.
