Výuka v rámci týdenního bloku je sestavena z několika přednášek a dále seminářů, které jsou založeny především na rozboru kasuistik pacientů. V rámci předmětu jsou shrnuty základní poznatky o struktuře, mechanismech a funkcích imunitního systému. Větší část je věnována imunopatologickým procesům a jejich manifestaci v jednotlivých systémech organismu. Součástí výuky je i přehled používaných laboratorních vyšetření v rámci diferenciálně diagnostického procesu a možné terapeutické postupy.
