This A2-Elementary Italian course enables students to enhance and acquire Italian language skills in reading writing, listening and speaking. In addition, it supports each skills-based lesson with speaking activities designed to give students the opportunity to acquire and practice vocabulary and grammar.
The course consists of individual lessons (based on the textbook Nuovo Espresso 2) and of e-learning sessions in which the students will practice reading, listening, speaking and writing.
The course takes place once a week and lasts 1:30h.
The course is targeted preferably on doctoral students of Faculty of Arts but other students can participate in case of free capacity, too.

Aim of the course -

Participants will acquire all language competences (reading, writing, listening and speaking) at A2 level. They will learn to understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of immediate concern to them (e.g. basic information about themselves, family, shopping, local history and employment). They can communicate in situations that require a simple and direct exchange of information about familiar and common facts. Students in the course will be able to describe in simple terms their own family, their immediate surroundings and matters relating to their most important needs.
