The course is based on the assumption that the course participants have a command of Danish at approximately B2 level. In the course, we work towards a more advanced level, where the student e.g. must work to understand dialects and the Danish language without a clearly defined background. We also work with pronunciation and linguistic variation in presentations and conversation. A large part of the course will be conversation-based. Thematically, we will work with current trends in Danish, e.g. with a focus on irony, minority languages, dialect/sociolect etc. The material will typically consist of shorter text extracts, poems, short stories etc. There is also freedom for the students themselves to contribute material and propose activities based on e.g. on their thesis.
