In the course Academic Writing, students learn the rules of writing in Dutch in various academic and popularising genres. By the end of the course, students should have gained theoretical and practical experience with the most important text forms that are important for a humanities scholar writing in Dutch.

Students are assessed on two criteria: 1. participation during the lessons and by doing homework; 2. a written test in which they show that they know and have mastered the genres treated sufficiently, both theoretically and practically.
