Předmět systematicky rozvíjí komunikační a tlumočnickou kompetenci včetně
aktivních tlumočnických dovedností a návyků nezbytných pro konferenční
tlumočení konsekutivní formou. Tlumočí se převážně směrem do češtiny se
zápisem a bez, ve druhé polovině semestru je do výuky také zařazeno tlumočení
do cizího jazyka. Tlumočnické dovednosti jsou rozvíjeny v různých
komunikačních situacích na autentických textech podle vymezených tematických
okruhů. V rozvoji tlumočnické kompetence je důraz kladen na plynulost projevu,
kohezi a koherenci sdělení, předání dominantní informace, stylu, tónu i
doprovodných složek sdělení.
