The aim of the course is to improve students' competence in the methods and procedures of book history
research, which they will apply in writing their bachelor thesis. The course will include project-based learning:
each student will prepare a project derived from the assignment of the bachelor thesis or another. The
explanations will focus on the application of research methods in book culture. Students will read old texts related
to the history of the book in class. The course is also suitable for students of the Institute of Czech Literature and
Comparative Studies, the Institute of Czech Language and Communication Theory and the Institute of Art History.
