This course is designed for first-year students of the Faculty of Arts who are interested in understanding the principles
and applications of digital humanities and artificial intelligence in the humanities and social sciences. The course covers
the fundamentals of digital humanities, research capabilities of digital technology, artificial intelligence, and large-scale
language models such as OpenAI's GPT-3 and GPT-4. Students will learn about the practical aspects of using these
technologies in the humanities and social sciences, and will discuss their ethical and social impacts.

Popis kurzu:
Tento kurz je určen pro studenty prvních ročníků Filozofické fakulty, kteří mají zájem o pochopení principů a využití
digital humanities (digitální humanitní vědy) a umělé inteligence v humanitních a sociálních vědách. Kurz pokrývá
základy digital humanities, možností digitálních technologií, umělé inteligence a velkých jazykových modelů, jako je
GPT-3 a GPT-4 od OpenAI. Studenti se seznámí s praktickými aspekty použití těchto technologií v humanitních a
sociálních vědách a budou diskutovat o jejich etických a sociálních dopadech.
Cíle kurzu:
Cílem tohoto kurzu je přiblížit studentům základy digital humanities a velkých jazykových modelů, včetně jejich
využití pro výzkum v humanitních a sociálních vědách. Po absolvování kurzu budou studenti schopni:
Chápat principy a význam digital humanities a AI v kontextu humanitních a sociálních věd
Používat digitální nástroje a technologie pro analýzu textu a dat
Používat digitální nástroje a technologie pro základní vizualizaci dat
Porozumět základům velkých jazykových modelů a jejich aplikacím
Diskutovat o etických a sociálních aspektech použití digitálních technologií a AI v humanitních a sociálních vědách
Aplikovat získané znalosti v praxi pomocí case studies a praktických cvičení
Struktura kurzu:
Kurs se skládá z čtyř hlavních bloků, které se zaměřují na základy digital humanities, digitální technologie, umělou
inteligenci a aplikaci těchto konceptů v praxi.
