Through continuously assigned tasks, students will get acquainted with key methods and techniques of
intellectual and machine content analysis and synthesis of information resources. They will learn to apply the
theoretical principles of semantics and linguistics in typical tasks of information content processing. They will get
familiar with the techniques of writing abstracts and other reduced texts, of resource indexing, semantic mapping,
domain analysis and the production of analytical reviews. They will practice the use of relevant knowledge
organization systems for the creation of subject metadata.

Studenti se prostřednictvím průběžně zadávaných úkolů seznámí s klíčovými metodami a technikami intelektuální i strojové obsahové analýzy a syntézy informačních zdrojů. Naučí se aplikovat teoretické principy sémantiky a lingvistiky v typických úlohách obsahového zpracování informací. Osvojí si techniky tvorby abstraktů a dalších redukovaných textů, indexace zdrojů, sémantického mapování, doménové analýzy a tvorby přehledových studií. Procvičí si využití relevantních systémů organizace znalostí pro tvorbu obsahových metadat.

Podmínkou pro udělení zápočtu je splnění min 75 % průběžně zadávaných úkolů (tj. je třeba dosáhnout min 75% průměrného hodnocení odevzdaných úkolů).
