The course "Project Management" is an introduction to the more complex issue of change management in innovation cycles with a focus on the field of information technology. Follow-on courses include Grants in Memory Institutions (Bc.) and Advanced Project Management Methods (Mgr.).
In this course, students will learn about project management methodologies based on global standards. The main emphasis is put on the PMBoK-PMI approach, as applied to commercial projects. All the main phases of the waterfall project life cycle (initiation, planning, implementation, operations) are introduced, with the main focus on project preparation and planning. The principles of agile Scrum-type methods are also introduced in basic terms.

Upon successful graduation, students should be able to understand and apply basic project management concepts and quickly integrate into the work
project teams.
