The subject is a continuation of the previous course Practical Language I. It is a practical exercise of selected language phenomena with a very brief introductory explanation of the theory. In this course, attention is paid mainly to phenomena related to verbs. The content of the exercise is mainly verb conjugation and verb syntactic phenomena with a focus on problematic areas, e.g. the use of auxiliary verbs in the perfect tense, forms of strong verbs, verb syntactic links, functional verb links, etc. The seminar also includes practical exercises on translation. In the course, there is not only the systematization of the morphology of verbs and the verbal lexicon, but also the training of communicative skills with special attention to selected verb phenomena in German.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Mgr. Věra Hejhalová, Ph.D. (07.02.2024)

The aim of the course is to deepen the language skills of 1st year students, which tend to be very different. The topics are set so that they can be followed up by a more theoretical explanation in the course Grammar of Contemporary German II, which takes place in 2/ZS. As part of the course, students refine and systematize their existing knowledge, deepen it and relate it to their own communicative competence.
