The subject in which the student gets acquainted with the basics and characteristics of yoga exercises, the differences from ordinary physical education and the application of yoga in health physical education, physiotherapy and sport.

Aim of the course

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

  • demonstrate knowledge of the principles of yoga exercises and other so-called oriental procedures and methods
  • demonstrate knowledge in the differences of ordinary physical education and the application of yoga in health physical education, physiotherapy and sports
  • demonstrates orientation in the possibilities of using elements of yoga exercises in the practice of a physiotherapist
  • demonstrates basic skills in selected yoga exercises
