The aim of this course is to introduce students to pluralism in the field of education. The course should serve as a map for a PhD. student in the field of pedagogy, which can show him or her how to navigate the complexity of pedagogical theories, directions and the main ways of thinking.
Content: The theory of education is one of the basic pedagogical disciplines which deals with the systematization and organization of the sciences of education, including its goals, methods, forms, means and conditions. The subjects of the theory of education are mainly various theories, directions and educational ideologies, providing several theoretical models and ways of thinking about the educational process.
By completing this compulsory elective course, PhD. students who haven’t taken a final examination in pedagogy can fulfill their obligation to pass an examination in pedagogy or pedagogical psychology.
