Annotation -
The course is dedicated to the individual work of the student with the supervisor of the bachelor thesis. This is the final stage of the work focusing on the the final version of the work with primary regard to the content, form, working with resources, linguistic and terminological, graphic and many other aspects. This phase completes the process realized in the previous seminar for preparation of the bachelor thesis, focusing in particular on the student's own research contribution based on both deep study of the sources and literature and especially on his own experience in the artistic and pedagogical practice. After submitting the thesis and uploading it into the SIS, the subject is marked as fulfilled.

Descriptors

The expected preparation time for the bachelor thesis is 270 hours.

Depending on the chosen topic, this time is mainly devoted to studying sources and literature, examining research material, drawing conclusions and formulating the final text.

Consultations with the thesis supervisor are at least 5 hours.

Syllabus

Individual work with the bachelor thesis supervisor. Obtaining a basic overview of sources and literature, research work.  Creating the basic structure of the thesis and its individual parts. Depending on the nature of the bachelor thesis, the methodology of accessing sources and literature is chosen. Completion of the thesis and its formal processing according to the applicable standards.

Learning outcomes

The student creates and submits a final version of the bachelor thesis that meets all formal and content requirements specified in the assignment, including the correct treatment of sources, literature and research work.

The student will demonstrate the ability to present his/her research and results in a systematic and coherent manner within the framework of the bachelor thesis, including the ability to correctly formulate research questions and objectives, analyse and interpret data and discuss the main conclusions.

The student will be able to adhere to the formal norms and language standards of academic writing, including the correct use of terminology, grammar and stylistics, in accordance with academic norms and standards.

The student will demonstrate the ability to work effectively with sources, including proper citation and referencing, and the ability to critically evaluate and integrate relevant information into their work.

The student will be able to adhere to graphic and typographic standards, including the use of tables, charts, and other visual elements to support the text and clearly present information.

The student will demonstrate the ability to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the practice of art and teaching into their undergraduate thesis.

The student will be able to reflect on the process of creating a bachelor's thesis.

The student will complete all administrative requirements associated with the submission of the bachelor thesis, including uploading it to SIS, and thereby concluding the course.
