Annotation -
Play in orchestra is necessary complement of individual teaching. It cultivates good sense to teamwork, contributes to harmonic and rhythmic feeling and leads students to conscious creative discipline.

Aim of the course -

The aim of playing in an orchestra is to develop a sense of harmony, harmonic and rhythmic sensitivity, and to explore the orchestral repertoire.

1. Preparation for chamber orchestra rehearsals, careful study of orchestral parts.
2. Attendance at chamber orchestra rehearsals (maximum 3 absences).
3. Participation in special rehearsals and workshops with the choir.
4. Participation in public performances.

Study of compositions for a given type of ensemble, repertoire from baroque to contemporary music.

Listening to recordings of the compositions studied.

Public presentation of the orchestra at faculty and university events.

Performance 24. 4. in Týn church, Dvořák Mass in D major.
