Syllabus -

Composition and formation of atmospheric aerosols, natural and anthropogeneous aerosols, classifications of aerosols, nucleation, coagulation, deposition and washing of aerosol particles, size distributions of particles, their optical properties.

Atmospheric aerosols and cloud processes, scattering and absorpption of solar and long-wave radiation, effects of atmospheric aerosols on the components of radiative and heat balance, consequences for climate.
