Annotation
Beliefs about right and wrong are among the strongest drivers of human behavior. In the recent years, a vast number of studies explored how people form these beliefs, make moral judgments, and act on them. The goal of this course is to offer an introduction to the research in the field of moral psychology. We will read articles from a variety of disciplines including philosophy, animal behavior, neuroscience, economics, and almost every area of scientific psychology. After completion of the course, students will be well versed in the primary issues and debates involved in the scientific study of morality and their applications to situations in every-day life, as well as politics, marketing and journalism.
