This discipline is a part of the Modula IA "Strture and function of the human body" - 1st year. It is taught during the summer semester of the 1st year, where three large organ systems are presented, in close cooperation with the anatomy, physiology and biochemistry /detail see in the Syllabus chapter/.

Aim of the course -

The aim of this discipline is to instruct the students in the both microscopic structure and development of the respiratory, urogenital and digestive tracts, in integration with other participating disciplines /anatomy, physiology and biochemistry/.

Teaching methods -

The discipline is taught in a form of lectures and practical trainkngs, where the students learn the microscopic structure of tissues and organs on the histological specimens and on series of electronograms.

Requirements to the exam -

At the end of the summer semester the examination is not prescribed, only the credit. For obtaining it there is a necessary condition to pass the partial examinations in a form of theoretical multiple-choice test, and practical examination on the histological specimens.
