The course informs students about the course of haematopoietic stem/progenitor cell transplant. During the course the indications to transplant, the sorts of transplant, its therapeutical effect, graft preparation and administration, transplant-related complications and other aspect will be discussed. In details, we will discuss optimal donor selection.

Předmět seznamuje zájemce s problematikou transplantace hematopoetických kmenových/progenitorových buněk. V průběhu výuky budou diskutovány indikace k transplantaci, její druhy a léčebný mechanismus, úprava a podání štěpu, post-transplantační komplikace a další aspekty. Podrobněji bude rovněž probrán způsob výběru dárce štěpu. Během kurzu se posluchači detailně seznámí s problematikou léčby maligních a benigních onemocnění pomocí transplantace hematopoetických kmenových/progenitorových buněk, včetně metod užívaných k výběru nejvhodnějšího dárce štěpu.

Aim of the course -
During this course students will acquire the knowledge about the malignant and non-malignant diseases, their treatment by using haematopoietic stem/progenitor cell transplant inclusive of methods used for the selection of optimal donor.
