Syllabus -
There is a twenty-year target of gradually improving the main indicators of inhabitants' state of health, achieved by creating conditions for this purpose in healthcare and prevention of diseases and supporting health. Students are acquainted with specific complex tasks (a healthy start to life, healthy youth, healthy ageing, improving spiritual health, prevention of infectious diseases, reduction of the occurrence of non-infectious diseases: diabetes mellitus, tumoral diseases, cardiovascular diseases, healthy teeth, reduction of the occurrence of injuries caused by violence and accidents, a healthy and safe environment, healthier lifestyle), which are developed in health policy their results evaluated in the 2005 annual report. The patrons of these tasks are senior consultants from specialist hospital departments and regional specialists.
Students will also be acquainted with studies of prevention and health, drug epidemiology and the lifestyle of elementary and middle school pupils which are carried out in the region.

Cílem zdravotní politiky je v průběhu 20-ti let postupně dosáhnout zlepšení hlavních ukazatelů zdravotního stavu obyvatelstva a vytvářet proto podmínky ve zdravotní péči, v prevenci nemocí a podpoře zdraví. Studenti se seznámí s konkrétními dílčími úkoly zdravý start do života, zdraví mladých, zdravé stárnutí, zlepšení duševního zdraví, prevence infekčních nemocí, snížení výskytu neinfekčních nemocí : diabetes mellitus, nádorová onemocnění, kardiovaskulární onemocnění, zdravý zoubek, snížení výskytu poranění způsobených násilím a úrazy, zdravé a bezpečné životní prostředí, zdravější životní styl, které jsou rozpracovány ve zdravotní politice a s jejich výsledky zhodnoceny ve výroční zprávě za rok 2005.Gestory těchto úkolů jsou primáři odborných oddělení nemocnice a krajští odborníci.
Dále budou studenti seznámeni se studiemi prevence a zdraví , drogové epidemiologie a životní styl žáků ZŠ a SŠ které jsou v regionu realizovány.
