Annotation -
The course introduces basic approaches and topics in medieval philology. Each session will involve several instructors engaging in dialogue and utilizing various methods. It is not focused on literary history or the history of languages but aims to provide a comprehensive overview of contemporary issues and research directions.

Course completion requirements -


Requirements for the exam:

A written work (approximately 2000 words in length) that analyzes a text from the corpus or, after consultation with one of the instructors, other texts. This work will be submitted to the chosen instructor.

Defense of the written work - in the presence of at least two instructors.

An oral discussion on the reading list (immediately following the defense, with the same instructors present).
