Přednáška je zaměřena na zmapování lingvistického vývoje dané oblasti v období 1. tis. př. Kr. do vzniku islámu.
- jazyková prehistorie Arabského poloostrova
- Jižní Arábie: dominance sajhadských jazyků
- střed Arabského poloostrova a první stopy jeho osídlení, jejich lingvistické projevy
- zprávy z třetích pramenů (asyrské, babylonské, biblické, řecké, římské, íránské a další zdroje)
- pronikání Nabatejců do severních oblastí Arabského poloostrova, vliv jižních civilizací
- fáze arabizace poloostrova
- dochované menšiny na Arabském poloostrově
