The subject is designed as mainly theoretical with fragments of case studies. “Role play" elements will be used
for therapeutic techniques practice.

Aim of the course -

The aim of subject is to provide information about borderline personality disorder, basic and differential diagnosis, describe and explain symptoms, possibilities and specifics of psychological care.

Gained knowledge and skills: The student basically understands specifics and dynamics of borderline personality disorder, knows how to differentiate it from other disorders and is oriented in the possibilities of psychological care in the field.

Borderline personality disorder - basic and differential diagnosis, etiology, relationship between symptoms and personality structure, psychological care (outpatient, inpatient, crisis services), specifics of psychotherapy, frequent complications in psychotherapy, indications/contraindications to psychological care, prognostic factors.
